Hi. My name is Chris Durso.

I am passionate about teaching the ways of Jesus.

"Take your everyday, ordinary life-- your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life--and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God."  Romans 12:1-2

ABOUT CHRIS DURSO

Chris Durso has spent over twenty years building the local church in New York City, alongside his wife, Yahris, and their two children, Dylan and Chloe. Whether he’s preaching the gospel, sharing a meal with his family, or dreaming up creative ways to tell the story of Jesus, everything Chris does flows from a deep love for God and people.

He is the lead Pastor of Good Company Church— a church in the heart of Manhattan with a mission to see the lost saved, the saved discipled and the discipled accountable. Built on the belief that God is still moving powerfully in the middle of culture, creativity, and everyday life.

In addition to leading Good Company, Chris continues to travel, teach, and write. He partners with ministries internationally as a teaching pastor and conference speaker and is the bestselling author of Misfit and The Heist.

Chris is passionate about building the Church and bridging the gap between truth and culture. Whether on a platform or behind the scenes, he leads with heart, depth, and an authentic desire to help people encounter Jesus. His greatest joy and first calling will always be his family.

The Heist by Chris Durso

The Heist

In the ultimate act of sacrifice, Jesus robbed the Enemy of every claim he ever had on our lives. He stole all our shame and guilt, and gave us back our lives so that we could live in true freedom.

The real scandal of Jesus’ work on the cross is found not only in what it gives but also in what it steals. The Grace of God robs the enemy of his ability to shame us. It robs death of its sting. And it robs sin of its power to destroy.

We’ve all felt the weight of shame and brokenness. Like the prodigal son, we’ve pursued our own path only to find ourselves far from home and out of options. We long for a fresh start, but what we need most is the ability to see ourselves through God’s eyes of grace.

New York City pastor Chris Durso believes grace is the central message of all Scripture. While there have been some daring heists and cunning capers throughout history, this book is about the greatest heist the world has ever seen…a daring raid where God’s son took back what the enemy had stolen, freeing us from the power of shame, sin, and Satan.

Through a fresh take on the parable of the prodigal son, and the fascinating account of a true modern day diamond heist, The Heist offers a bold invitation into God’s boundless grace.

Misfit by Chris Durso

Misfit

In this book, we talk about what we go through mentally as Misfits. When we are trying to make a difference in the world, we can hold ourselves back because of negative thoughts, unbelief, or our circumstances. The philosophy expressed “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde'' is a common thread throughout the book and reflects the idea that we are our own worst enemy and harshest critic. We must learn to get ourselves out of our own way so we can allow God to use us the way he wants to. “Inside every man there is a battle going on between good and evil”

–Mr. Hyde
